Trying On New Shoes

Updated: Oct 11, 2021

I have worked with a coach on and off for years.

Why? Because I want to make sure I'm making the most of my life. Especially when I lost both parents, I realized the time we have here is limited and we need to make the most of it. I wanted to try something new. I wanted a new perspective.

I'm open to letting someone see me in a way that I may not see myself. I'm open for my coach to tell me that I have even more potential than I know. I'm open for her to tell me that I'm sabotaging myself. She offers me her thoughts and ideas and I get to try them on. Like new shoes. If the shoes are a bit tight, I walk around in them to stretch them out. I walk around with those shoes to see what I think.

I often see the potential in people, too, so I trust my coach will see something in me that I don't see yet. If I haven't considered this thinking in the first place, it doesn't seem possible. Then, someone outside my own brain gives me a different perspective. Without a new take on things, I might keep doing the same thing. Over and over. I got to a place in my life where I didn't want that anymore.

Perhaps that's where you are, too. Perhaps you could use a different perspective from a different brain to help you get to where you want to go, feel less stress and get stuff done!

P.S. I have a small group 6 week coaching program starting in May. If you want to experience a different perspective on your life, join us! DM me to talk and get the details.
